London Marathon

I have completed the London Marathon. It was very hard but worth every mile to be greeted by Tania, Olivia, Emma my wife, Chris, Dad, Micheline, Ben & Mick with his children Charlotte & William. They supported me all round the circuit which helped.

We raised over £3000 which is fantastic. It took me 5hrs 11 mins. I completed the first half in 2 hours but started to fade at the 16 mile mark. To end the day I gave my medal to Olivia in memory of her brothers Luke & Ryan. I also wrote a special message on my running number and Tania and Joe placed it at the grave of the Luke & Ryan.

Thank you dad for your help during my training and on the morning of the day. Thank you Emma for the massage at the end. Thank you to dad and Tania for carrying my bags whilst I hobbled to the tube station. Thank you to Tania and Joe for the superb meal they provided that evening. It was nice to have a beer after all those months of training.

I don't think I shall run another Marathon, two is enough, but don't let me put you off, it was a fantastic day and a great atmosphere. I will never forget it!

Parachute Jump

Danielle, Tania, Emma and myself are planning a sponsored tandem parachute jump this summer.  Emma hasn't actually agreed to jump yet, but this should do the trick.  My Dad (Olivia's Grandad Short) is also keen to jump as well.  More details coming soon.
